Biography

Mr. Plotkin graduated cum laude from New York Law School in 1986. During law school, Mr. Plotkin served as a legal intern for the New York Stock Exchange in its Enforcement Division, and for the New York State Attorney General's Office in its Investor Protection and Securities Bureau.

Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Plotkin joined the SEC's New York Regional Office, where he served in its Branch of Broker-Dealer Enforcement as Staff Attorney, 1986 - 1988, Branch Chief, 1988 - 1990, and Assistant Regional Administrator, 1990 - 1991.

In 1991, Mr. Plotkin became an associate of the New York City law firm of Morvillo, Abramowitz, Grand, Iason & Silberberg, P.C., where he concentrated on white-collar criminal and civil regulatory matters related to the securities industry.

In 1995, Mr. Plotkin formed his own law practice. In 2000, Mr. Plotkin became a partner of Eiseman, Levine, Lehrhaupt & Kakoyiannis, P.C. in New York City. On December 1, 2004, Mr. Plotkin became a partner of Day Pitney LLP, in its New York City office.

Mr. Plotkin is a member of the New York and Connecticut State Bars, and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Mr. Plotkin is a member of the American Bar Association, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and the Compliance and Legal Division of the Securities Industries Association.
